Pokemon!

Who all knows/still plays the pokemon games and/or watches the series?
I'm just a bit curious... I'm in college but I still play the games...

If you do play still, which versions? (Red/Blue/Yellow, Gold/Silver/Crystal, Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, Fire red/Leaf green, Diamond/Pearl/Platinum)

((Platinum is the latest release so far if anyone didn't know, although it won't be buyable where I live for about 3 weeks... And it's already confirmed that there is going to be a 5th Generation, the first pokemon from said generation will be shown in either the 12th or 13th movie not sure which it actually is...))

Eh, I used to play, stopped at Silver

I dropped out of it for a while too... But whenever a new generation comes out, I get sucked right back into it somehow...

It seems that I own at least one game from each generation, how sad.
Red/Blue/Yellow, Silver, Ruby, Fire red, Diamond
I have also collected all the pokemon from each game, though i heard that Platinum has some new ones, but I don't care.
I still think that the originals were best, though.

We've almost had the same exact collection of games... Except I had Gold instead of Silver, and I had Crystal also...

Platinum doesn't have any NEW Pokemon, just some alternate forms...
Nothing too special though...
What I'm looking forward to about Platinum is that you have chances to rebattle Gym leaders at a special location they added...
And the Elite 4 gets stronger after you get the PokeDex upgrade (National Dex)...

I had Red/Blue/Yellow Gold/Silver. And thats where I stopped. I didnt plan to catch all of them out of all the games, but eventually the years passed me by and I somehow ended up getting them all. I agree with Shadow (sorry, dont know Shinigami names yet) That the originals were the best. My favorite was Yellow. Although Silver and Gold were not bad at all. The only reason I stopped playing them was because I refused to buy the new gameboys

Well I have to say I'm a poke-addict lol I'm graduating college and I still play the games. My brothers and I collectively had every game produced.

I had red, silver, crystal, ruby, emerald, fire red, diamond, pokemon snap, pokemon stadium 1+2, pokemon colosseum, battle stadium (wii thing) the 2 rangers... and he had blue, yellow, gold, sapphire, leaf green, pearl and the mystery dungeons.

We're freaks (my brother and I lol) XD We play each game until there's no more we can do (we basically rape the poor things lol) then wait for whatever else they throw our way. We annihilated diamond and pearl and are now ready for platinum

Me and my brother were the same way up until a few years ago... I didn't bother with Ranger or Mystery Dungeon... Weren't my thing...
Platinum has looked pretty good from what I've seen so hopefully it lives up to the hype about it...

Definitely, platinum looks like it's got a few new tricks up its sleeve... more to master ^~

Hm... not a freaking clue >< At this point they'd have to really stretch... like Amethyst or Obsidian XD

I just hope they stop with this pre-evo crap. New ones ok, new legendaries fine, but let the trusty senior pokemon evolve some lol Enough of the baby versions already. Some things aren't always cuter the smaller they get... Wynaut... *shudders* XD

Very true... I'd love to see Pinscer and Heracross to get evovled forms... They need some strong bug-types... And they need to make more Fire-types gosh darnit... They only added 5 with Diamond/Pearl... Makes me made... I love my fire types...

Mine are Fire and Ground... Used to be only Grass when the Series first started, but not any more...

The team I'm trying to set up is gonna be godly... No legendaries included though...

I collect ghosts. Ghost/Electric, Ghost/Dark (no super-effectives), Ghost/Dragon, Ghost/Ice, Ghost/Bug.......I'm sure there are others I can't remember....

I'm not going to get into my collections... I have so many... XD
I don't collect type in general but I collect the different groups (Babies, Fossils, Legendaries, etc)...

Haha, well, most people collect the legendaries. I have all from Diamond, including Mesprit, Phione, Shaymin, Arceus, etc.

i currently only play Diamond and pearl, but own sapphire, emerald and fire red. ive either lost or sold the old games when i could no longer play them but i have played each and every game that the pokemons peoples has released

ive kinda dropped it for abit having tired of the same ol' crap.

ive now decided to play the world ends with you for awhile XD this game has me so addicted at the moment ^^

still cant wait for platinum though ^^

I never really understood nor cared about the EV training... I just accepted how my Pokemon's stats went up and dealt with it...

My best Pokemon right now is a Groudon... He can kill anything, besides Normal, Psychic, Fighting, Dark, and Dragon types, in one hit... And that's why I'm trying to find him a partner that can take those out... I might be using my Giratina...

One of my favorite pokemon was eevee, and I liked umbreon a lot as well (Dark Evolution of Eevee). I also liked Houndoom and Arkanine. I kinda liked the dog-like pokemon for some reason
