A Guide to Using Kidou Empty A Guide to Using Kidou

    Kidou Guide

Not every member can perform every Kidou. This is how things work in Soul Society that we see in Bleach, that is how it will be for us here as well.

Those members who in the Shinigami Academy and have access to using the spells from both Hadou and Bakudo 1-5. These members are still very young and as such have little control over the Demon Arts.

Once within a division you have passed through the Shinigami Academy allowing you to perform perform Hadou 1 through 50 and Bakudo 1 through 50.

Just because every user has access to these abilities does not mean that every spell by every user the same. An eighth seat Hadou 31 will do more damage than one performed by a fourteenth seat.

Once a Shinigami has risen through the ranks to the level of 5th seat and above the ability to perform Bakudo spells 1 through 77 and Hadou spells 1 through 63 is possible.

The power difference between seats will of course still stand here.

As it stands now the Bakudo Spells 81 through 99 and the Hadou spells 73 through 90 remain under the exclusive use of the Taichous and Fuku-Taichous.

    Kidou spells:

    Hado(Way of Destruction)

    1. Shō (Thrust): Pushes the target away from the caster.

    4. Byakurai (Pale Lightning): Fires a concentrated bolt of lightning from the caster's forefinger.

    11. Tsuzuri Raiden (Bound Lightning): A stream of an electrical current is embedded in and focused through anything that the caster is holding. It can also be used to give a blade an extra charge to it for added damage.

    31. Shakkahō (Shot of Red Fire): Fires a ball of red energy at a target. Incantation: Oh ruler, mask of flesh and blood, all creations of the universe, fluttering of the wings, ye who bears the name of man! Scorching heat and disorder, evolve the transposition of the southern sea barrier.

    33. Sōkatsui (Blue Fire, Crash Down): Fires a burst of blue spiritual energy at a target in a similar manner to 31, but over a wider area and with more power. Incantation: Oh ruler, mask of flesh and blood, all creations of the universe, fluttering of the wings, ye who bears the name of man! Truth and temperance, strike but slightly your claw upon this wall which feigns ignorance of sin!

    54. Haien (Abolishing Flame): Fires a blast of purple spiritual energy that will incinerate a target completely when it makes contact.

58: Tenran (Orchid Sky): Creates an expanding tornado the shoots forward. In its activation, a swirling and then grasping of the Zanpakutou initiated the tornado. Whether a Zanpakutou must be used is unconfirmed, but it can be assumed that a circular rotating motion is needed at the very least.

    63. Raikōhō (Thunder Roar Cannon): Fires a massive wave of yellow energy at a target. Incantation: Bone of a straggling beast, spire, crimson crystal, disc of steel, when the wind shifts, and the emptiness ceases, let the clash of lances resonate through the relinquished castle.

    73. Sōren Sōkatsui (Twin Lotus Blue Fire, Crash Down): Essentially a doubled version of #33, this spell fires two shots of blue fire with greater potency than the single-shot variety. Incantation - Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! On the wall of blue flame, inscribe a twin lotus. In the abyss of conflagration, wait at the far heavens!

    88. Hiryugekizokushintenraiho (Flying Dragon-Striking Heaven-Shaking Thunder Cannon): Fires a gigantic electricity blast of spiritual energy resulting in an truly enormous explosion. Its full strength is however unknown since Aizen used Splitting Void before it could hit him.

    90. Kurohitsugi (Black Coffin): Forms a box of black energy around a target, which is then pierced by dozens of energy "spears", lacerating the one inside from head to toe. Aizen notes that the spell only reached a third of its destructive potential the one time he uses it, indicating that the spell would be far more damaging at full power.

    Bakudo(Way of Binding)

    1. Sai (Restrain): Locks a target's arms in place behind their back.

    4. Hainawa (Crawling Rope): An energy rope entangles a target's arms.

    8. Seki (Repulse): Creates a small, oval-like shield composed of kidou to deflect an attack.

    9. Geki (Strike): Engulfs a target in red light, completely paralyzing them. Incantation - Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini!! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat!

    26. Kyakko (Curving Light): Apparently via bending light around the caster, the performer of the kidou is rendered invisible. It also aids in masking reiatsu. Also, it can be used on things other than the caster, such as other individuals, structures, and even other kidous. Although the larger the object, the harder it is to cast. Masking a building and masking a mouse would not be equivalent in reiatsu usage.

    30. Shitotsu Sansen (Beak-Stab Triple Beam): Through using one's hand (Or possibly any other limb), the caster generates a triangular form, even in length on all sides. At the tips of the triangle form three "beaks" of energy. The bakudou then goes flying towards the target and strikes three areas on their body (Not piercing, put more like holding in place). Those three, as used in the example, are both arms and the mid-section, although using the Kidou in reverse to pin both legs and the upper chest may be possible as well, if one is gifted enough with Kidou to do so.

    37. Tsuriboshi (Suspending Star): Creates a net-like cushion of a kidou that straps itself to the surroundings, holding it in place, though keeping it flexible and able to sling, much like a sling-shot.

    39. Enkosen (Arc Shield): Materializes a shield made of condensed reiatsu to defend. It's roughly four feet in length and three in width (In the standard form of it). More reiatsu can be added to make it stronger or wider, though doing so is costly.

    58. Kakushitsuijaku (Summoning of the Tracking Sparrows): Tracks and locates any spiritual force the user focuses on. To activate it, the user must draw a circle on the ground, cut into four parts with a specific character in each. The incantation animates the circle, causing various numbers to appear within until the specific set is found. The number set seems to be a variation on latitude and longitude. Incantation - Heart of the south, eye of the north, finger of the west, foot of the east, arrive with the wind and depart with the rain!

    61. Rikujōkōrō (Six Rods Prison of Light): Summons six thin, but wide, beams of light that slam into a target's midsection, holding them in place. Incantation - Carriage of thunder. Bridge of a spinning wheel. With light, divide this into six!

    62. Hyapporankan (Hundred Steps Fence): A rod formed of energy is thrown towards the target before it disintegrates into numerous short rods which are used to pin the target to the surroundings and render them immobile.

    63. Sajo Sabaku (Locking Bondage Stripes): Binds the arms of a target using a chain of energy. According to Hachigen Ushōda, physical strength alone should not be enough to break out of a level 60 Bakudō, however Kensei Muguruma was able to free himself from this Kidō while in his Hollow form.

    73. Tozanshō (Falling Mountain Crystal): Creates an inverted pyramid-structured barrier to cover the caster and any other within the specified range. It's of a large scale.

    75. Gochūtekkan (Quintet of 1 kan Iron Pillars): Summons five incredibly tall and thick pillars to pin a target to the ground. Incantation - Walls of iron sand, a priestly pagoda, glowing ironclad fireflies. Standing upright, silent to the end!

    77. Tenteikūra (Heavenly Rickshaws in Silken Air): Transmits messages to anyone within a specific area. In addition to reciting the spell, the user must draw specific markings on their arms, which are animated by the spell to convey the messages. Incantation - Net of black and white, twenty two bridges, sixty six vestments, footprints, distant thunder, mountain peaks, spinning ground, night crouching, cloudy sea, blue ranks, fill the great circles and dash across the heavens!

    81. Danku (Splitting Void): Creates an energy barrier in the form of a rectangular wall. According to Byakuya, it is capable of stopping destructive spells up to #89.

99, Part 1. Kin (Seal): Binds the arms of a target with spiritual fabric and iron shafts. Incantation - First song: halting fabric! Also, there is an alternate version of Bakudou #99, which involves the creation of shadow-like straps arising and wraping around the upper body and arms, then slamming them into the ground. These shadow straps, for extra binding strength, have stone-like tablets appear and jab into the shadow straps, keeping them in place even firmer.

99, Part 2. Bankin (Great Seal): This spell covers a target from head to toe with spiritual fabric [first song: halting fabric] stabs them with numerous metal blades [second song: hundred linked bolts] ,and then smashes them with an immense metal cube [final song: great seal of 10,000 forbiddings]. Incantation - Second song: hundred linked bolts!

This list will be updated regularly as new spells are seen in the Anime and Manga. If the restrictions seem to change in either of these, so will your restrictions as well.
